OUR STORY
Established in 2012, Blevins Family Vineyards embarked on a mission to produce exceptional fruit for winemaking. Our quest led us to seek out a warm, consistent climate with fertile soils, ideal for cultivating grapes of the highest caliber. Nestled amidst the undulating hills of Halifax County, Virginia, our family discovered the perfect location to realize our vineyard aspirations. The natural terrain proved to be an idyllic canvas for shaping our vineyards into what they are today.
With great care and consideration, we have cultivated over 11 acres of vineyards, carefully selecting a range of American and Bordeaux/Spain vinifera varietals specifically suited to our site. Our vineyards, oriented North to South, capture the essence of ripeness, unlocking the fullest potential of each grape. The result is a collection of wines that showcase the very best Southern Virginia has to offer, exemplifying the superior quality that defines our region.

THE OWNERS
Meet Chris and Brandy Blevins, a couple hailing from northern Virginia and proud parents to their three children: Jourdan, Timmy, and Rylee. Their shared love for wine kindled a deep passion within them, inspiring them to create a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Halifax County, Virginia. Seizing the opportune moment amidst the challenges of the COVID era, Chris and Brandy embarked on a life-changing journey, bidding farewell to the bustling city life and embracing their dream that now flourishes as Blevins Family Vineyards.
Chris, born and raised in Centreville, VA, honed his expertise in viticulture through his studies at Washington State University. With over a decade of experience in cultivating vineyards, Chris brings his wealth of knowledge to the table. Additionally, his professional background spans 14 years in sales and accounting. Together with Brandy, Chris serves as a vineyard consultant, lending their expertise to assist vineyards across all operational aspects.
Brandy, a native of Fairfax County, VA, graduated from T.C. Williams High School (Remember the Titans). With a career spanning nearly 18 years in the technical recruiting field, Brandy brings a wealth of organizational prowess to Blevins Family Vineyards. She assumes the responsibility of overseeing the vineyard's daily operations and will soon spearhead the winery's establishment.
